Triangles Etched Emu Pysanky egg, etched only using simply the natural color of the shell in a traditional design using beeswax and acid. This egg is handmade using etching, varnish, and regionally sourced eggs and beeswax.

 

This beautiful traditional emu pysanka has been lovingly created in the traditional wax resist (batik) processs on a real blown emu shell. It was sealed with a coate of archival artist's UV resistant crystal clear finish. Beeswax is locally sourced.Egg shells are sourced locally during the season. When unavailable in the area, the farmer is known.

  • CARE INSTRUCTIONS

     To ensure that your egg lasts for years, please display it in a locaiton away from direct sunlight, heat, or light bulbs. Dyes are light sensitive and can fade. It is a real egg and should be handled like a fine china or glass ornament. If dusting is required, wipe gently with a soft, damp dusting cloth.

     

    Display locations should be chosen with to prevent falls.
