Queen of the Road

When I was a child practicing piano, "King of the Road" was one of my favorites. I loved the melody, the lyrics and thought that a vagabond hobo lifestyle was IT. In a time before cell phones, the song beguiled one with no phone.

Sadly, there was also no pool and no pets so Queenie has a van and a camper. She will also cheerfully stay in hotels on the road. Next weekend I will be in Rockville, Maryland for the 12th VisArts Rockville Arts Festival. It will be my first time at this festival and I'm really looking forward to it. It will be exciting to get new work out into the world, setting up my booth in new venues, meeting new collectors and visiting patrons again.
